YHA Australia has introduced digital wallet key technology across its 19 properties, a first in Australasia, marking a significant step in seamless guest access evolution.
Through the YHA Explorer App, guests can download their digital key and add it to their Apple or Google Wallet, allowing them to access rooms, lifts, and social areas with a simple phone tap.
The rollout eliminates the need for traditional plastic key cards, while maintaining them as an option for guests who prefer physical keys.
Guests do not need to unlock their phones or open the app for added convenience.
