Alleged Embezzlement by Latham Man
Investigators found that a 39-year-old Latham man, Goswani, worked remotely for the New York State Office of Information Technology Services while also working for the town of Malta.
This dual employment resulted in the alleged theft of over $50,000, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
- Goswani was charged with second-degree grand larceny.
- He was arraigned in Malta Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation between the Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Inspector General’s Office.
