Conner Mantz has been recognized as the 36th USATF Athlete of the Week award winner for 2025 after setting a new American record in the men's marathon.
Mantz finished fourth in the Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:04:43, shattering the previous American record of 2:05:38 set by Khalid Khannouchi 23 years ago in London.
His time also bettered the all-conditions American record of 2:04:58 set by Ryan Hall at Boston in 2011. This achievement marks Mantz's second USATF Athlete of the Week award in 2025.
Other notable performances include Brittany Brown winning the 100m in 10.99 and the 200m in a lifetime best of 21.89 at the Athlos NYC meet.
