Nebraska fishing guide George Thompson caught a 105-pound blue catfish from the Missouri River.
Thompson knew exactly where he was headed when he launched his boat on the Missouri River with his two sons, as they had hooked something huge the week prior.
"I knew it was a monster fish that was probably in that 100-pound range,"
Thompson and his sons were hunting for that specific fish when they went down to the river on Sunday, anchoring on a deep hole on the Iowa side and casting out a catfish rig baited with cut skipjack.
"We were hunting for that specific fish when we went down there [on Sunday]."
The take was fairly soft, according to Thompson.
