Dog Trumpet have released a new single, 'Waltz Of The Wind', from their album Live Forever. The song embodies the band's signature melancholy and melodic warmth.
The band, consisting of brothers Peter O'Doherty and Reg Mombassa, has been making music for over three decades. 'Waltz Of The Wind' showcases their understated poetry, luminous melodies, and bittersweet nostalgia.
"It's a wistful, sad song about a past love affair,"
said Peter O'Doherty, who has been carrying the song with him for years. It was first written and recorded by New Zealand's Windy City Strugglers and later given to O'Doherty on a mixtape by Sydney musician and author Peter Doyle.
