Nathi Mthethwa, the late Ambassador to France, died after falling from the 22nd floor of a hotel in Paris, France last month.
At his special official funeral in KwaMbonambi, KwaZulu-Natal, relatives and friends paid tribute to his kind and courageous nature.
"I cannot ask God why for love this great can never be explained nor measured by time."
His widow, Philisiwe Mthethwa, described him as a family man who nurtured his loved ones, bringing laughter and calm to their home.
