Independent Living Apartments in Owen Sound
A new 10-unit apartment building is being constructed in Owen Sound to provide independent living for adults with developmental disabilities, with 24/7 support available when needed.
Construction will soon commence on the building, located at 1170 3rd Ave. E., which will feature a common area and 24/7 staffing.
“We are very excited that individuals will have their own space to call their home,”
said Michele Bell, Chief Executive Officer of Community Living Owen Sound and District, during a groundbreaking ceremony held on Friday morning.
This project marks the first of its kind for the local agency, aiming to provide supported independent living to 10 local adults with developmental disabilities.
