The Kansas Supreme Court announced the reappointment of 28 chief judges, including Chief Judge Grant Bannister in the 21st Judicial District.
Chief Judge Bannister will serve another two years in the role, starting from January, in Riley and Clay counties.
Bannister has been a district judge since 2016 and was appointed chief judge in 2019. He holds degrees from Fort Hays State University and the University of Kansas School of Law.
Before becoming a judge, he worked in private practice in Manhattan and taught ethics as an adjunct professor at Kansas State University’s College of Business.
