West Bloomfield Voters to Decide on School District's Sinking Fund

Voters in the West Bloomfield School District will decide on a 1.552 millage for a 10-year sinking fund on November 4.

The sinking fund would pay for timely updates to computer devices for students and staff, and continue to invest in security measures.

The current sinking fund has paid for locks on all classroom doors, allowing them to be locked from within with a quick turn of the thumb.

If approved, the new fund would replace a 14-year millage approved in 2013 at the same millage rate, continuing the current millage rate for another 10 years.

The new sinking fund would continue to invest in security.
