Thousands of residents in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley experienced a power outage on Saturday morning, October 25, due to a car crash.
The crash, which occurred around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road, caused heavy damage to multiple transformers, leading to an extended delay in restoring power.
The Sedro-Woolley police stated that a motor vehicle crash likely led to the large power outage.
Power was mostly restored to residents by Saturday afternoon, with the remaining customers expected to have power restored by 2:30 p.m., according to Puget Sound Energy.
