Three visible personalities in Cebu have been targeted by these defamatory accounts: former Cebu governor Gwendolyn Garcia, incumbent Governor Pamela Baricuatro, and Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas.
These attacks appear to be politically motivated, as all targets are politicians, and are a sad reflection of how dirty politics has become.
We tend more to dishonor the honorable and cast aspersion to the reputable.
These attacks are happening three years ahead of time, indicating a prolonged and intense campaign.
