UPDATE: Felony Murder Warrant Issued
A felony murder warrant was issued for Khalir Nickens, 21, of Sylvania, in connection with the shooting death of 30-year-old Deontre Mincey of Portal.
According to Capt. Jared Akins of the Statesboro Police Department, Nickens is considered
armed and dangerous.
- The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday morning in the parking lot of 200 Lanier Drive.
- Upon arrival, SPD officers found the victim deceased from a gunshot wound.
