Uncovering Nazi-Stolen Art in Argentina

A quiet Dutch retiree, Paul Post, helped uncover Nazi-stolen art in Argentina after rediscovering his father's Nazi-era diaries.

Post, 74, a systems specialist, found the notebooks in his attic 15 years ago and began to closely examine them. The diaries described his father's work in the Netherlands' diamond bureau when it was taken over by the Nazis.

One name stood out in the diaries: Friedrich Kadgien, a high-ranking Nazi official who oversaw the looting of diamonds and gold from occupied countries.

In September, the daughter of Kadgien was charged with concealing an 18th-century painting looted during the Holocaust in Argentina.
