Scientists Use AI to Learn the Language of Biomolecules

Scientists at the University of Glasgow have developed a new machine learning model to translate the language of proteins using a powerful supercomputer.

The cross-disciplinary team created a large language model (LLM) called PLM-Interact to better understand protein interactions and predict which mutations will impact how these molecules interact.

The new model can help translate the language of proteins and predict which mutations will impact their interactions.

Author's summary: Scientists use AI to understand protein language.
