Patient Stories and Provider Advice for Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer Awareness

Fred Hutch experts gathered to answer questions about lobular breast cancers, including why they are often found at later stages and their biological hallmarks.

Patient stories, epidemiological findings, and new developments in screening and clinical trials were shared at the event, which was held in recognition of Global Lobular Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

The event recognized the 15% of breast cancer patients diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma, or ILC, every year.

Similar patient and provider events were held across the U.S. and the world, with 24 state governors issuing official proclamations recognizing the day.
