Boogie Fland Named to Bob Cousy Award Preseason List
Boogie Fland, the new Gators guard, has been added to the list of Florida players receiving preseason honors. He was named to the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Top 20 Preseason List.
The Cousy Award, named after 13-time NBA All-Star Bob Cousy, has been given out since 2004 to recognize the best collegiate point guards in the country.
- Averaged 13.5 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game in his first season.
- Started the first 18 games of the season for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
- Led all NCAA freshmen in assists and assists-to-turnover ratio through the first 18 games.
Fland, a sophomore from New York, will make his Florida Gators debut soon.
The award has recognized the best collegiate point guards in the country since 2004.
