GRID Powers Up: XSite Braehead Unveils Bold New Identity
XPE Group has announced a new chapter for Glasgow’s leisure and entertainment destination, XSite Braehead, as it prepares to rebrand as GRID.
A £12.6 million investment programme will transform the site into a hub for fun, fitness and family entertainment. The name GRID references the site’s electric buzz and industrial heritage as a former electricity plant.
At the heart of the redevelopment will be K1 Speed, a world-class indoor e-karting venue featuring the longest indoor race track, set to open in summer 2026.
GRID promises an adrenaline-fuelled experience, but also offers more than just speed.
The name GRID pays homage to the electric buzz of its upcoming attractions and to the location’s industrial heritage.
