Bruce County Museum Marks Remembrance Day
Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre welcomes historian and author Ted Barris to mark Remembrance Day on Nov. 8.
Ted Barris will help celebrate the 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, exploring the significant contributions of Canadian airmen during the Second World War.
- Canadian airmen served in forty-seven squadrons.
- Twenty pilots were lost in action.
- Twelve received the Distinguished Flying Cross for their courage.
The extraordinary bravery of Canadian flyers who helped defend England during 113 harrowing days in 1940 will be highlighted.
