Albemarle Sells Catalyst Businesses
Albemarle is the latest big firm to sell its catalyst businesses, with deals totaling $660 million.
The chemical firm has agreed to two separate transactions:
- KPS, a private equity group, will buy 51% of Ketjen's petroleum refining catalyst business.
- Axens, a chemical engineering and manufacturing firm, will buy Albemarle's half of their catalyst recycling joint venture, Eurecat.
