A 58-year-old man with a poor driving history was caught driving twice in 10 minutes while disqualified, according to police.
The man, Said Abi-Merhi, was stopped by police in South Bathurst on two separate occasions, with the second location being approximately one kilometer from the first.
Abi-Merhi appeared in the Bathurst Local Court on October 1, 2025, to be sentenced on two charges of driving during a disqualification period.
According to police documents, Abi-Merhi was first stopped at around 6:10pm on April 10, 2025, while driving a Holden Rodeo on Lloyds Road, South Bathurst.
The man has completed a referral into treatment program, the court heard.
