Emerging Minnesota Artists on Display
The Rochester Arts and Crafts Festival is being held at the Empire Events Center this weekend, featuring the work of emerging artists from Minnesota.
On October 11 and 12, from 10 a.m., attendees can visit various booths to explore and purchase new arts and trinkets for their homes, or get a head start on holiday shopping.
The festival offers a diverse range of items, including wood carvings, pottery, kirigami, paintings, photographs, jewelry, and more.
One vendor, Karen Wedul, also known as Scattered Sunshine, gives new life to silver plates found in antique stores by adding mosaic designs.
Although this is the festival's first time in Rochester, organizers hope to bring it back next year, possibly as a Christmas show.
