The Johnston County Board of Commissioners reviewed a $129 million proposal to rebuild Clayton High School on its current campus.
The community of Clayton wanted the school to stay on that site. They wanted to keep it as part of the town.
The proposal involves demolishing and rebuilding the high school in several phases, allowing students to remain on site during construction. The Board of Education endorsed the plan in October.
The County Commissioners are set to vote on the proposal on November 17.
