Training Available to Identify Opioid Overdose

The Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition is offering free training to clubs and organizations on Narcan administration and information about fentanyl.

Participants will learn about how opioids work, how to identify an overdose and how to administer Naloxone in case of an overdose.

After completing the training, the coalition will provide Naloxone kits for free. To schedule a training, email [email protected].

Naloxone, also known as Narcan, can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose by blocking the impact of opioids on the brain, primarily stopping the depression of the respiratory system during an overdose.

Author's summary: Free training on Narcan administration and fentanyl information is available.
