With one day left before the Lewis and Clark County municipal elections, officials reported a steady flow of voters dropping off their ballots on Monday.
As of Monday noon, 7,553 ballots had been accepted, which is about 35% of the 21,220 mailed out. This means that just over 30% of eligible voters in Helena and East Helena have already cast their votes.
The number of rejected ballots remains low, with only 46 not being counted.
Overall, just over 30% of the eligible voters in Helena and East Helena have already voted.
The turnout is expected to rise significantly by the end of Tuesday.
