Helena Candidate Responds to Release of Voicemail
Just a day before Helena's city elections, Senator Tim Sheehy's office released a statement regarding a threatening voicemail they received from candidate Haley McKnight.
McKnight, who is running for Helena city commission, expressed regret over some of the language used in the voicemail, but described her anger as "justifiable rage" in response to Sheehy's actions in office.
- The voicemail was left on July 1, after the Senate advanced the Republicans' "One Big Bill" with tighter restrictions on Medicaid.
- According to the National Review, McKnight stated that Sheehy's policies "stripped away health care" for millions of Americans.
McKnight described her anger as "justifiable rage" over Sheehy's actions.
