Windows 10 is still widely used, even after Microsoft ended its support on October 14. Despite the company's efforts to encourage users to upgrade to Windows 11, many devices continue to run on the older operating system.
The share of devices using Windows 10 is slowly declining, with a current market share of 41.71%, while Windows 11 is gradually increasing, with a market share of 55.18% in October, according to Statcounter.
To continue receiving security updates, users must either sign up for Extended Security Updates (ESU) or use a supported version of the operating system, such as the LTSC editions.
Microsoft is hoping for a mass move to Windows 11, its flagship OS.
