Nearly 100,000 tools have been recalled, including the M18 FUEL Top Handle Chainsaw sold at Home Depot locations.
According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recall affects approximately 90,860 units in the U.S. and 7,500 in Canada.
The chainsaw's chain brake may not activate, posing a risk of injury, as
the recall involves catalog number 2826-20, identifiable by an "A" in the product's serial number.
Consumers are advised to stop using the chainsaw immediately and contact Milwaukee Tool for a free repair.
The recall includes chainsaws with 12-inch or 14-inch bars, designed for use with Milwaukee's M18 batteries.
