McPhaul Wins Gainesville School Board Seat
Trey McPhaul won the Gainesville Board of Education District 2 seat, narrowly defeating Amy McKinney Kerr with 50.76% of the vote, a margin of just 11 votes.
McPhaul, a local business owner and parent of children attending Gainesville City Schools, prioritizes improving equitable access to learning opportunities.
"I think we have so many programs and things that exist currently and could be brought to the forefront,"
McPhaul said, aiming to make these opportunities accessible to all students in the school system.
