The Rodborough & Wallbridge Community Interest Company (CIC) has received a £12,690 grant from the National Lottery Awards for All programme to support a series of community improvements at the Wallbridge Fields site.
This funding, made possible by National Lottery players, will help enhance the area for both people and wildlife, making it a more inviting and sustainable space.
“We are thrilled to have received this support from the National Lottery Community Fund. This grant will allow us to make real improvements to Wallbridge Fields, ensuring it remains a welcoming and inspiring space for local people, while enhancing its value for nature,” said Liz Hillary, one of the CIC’s directors.
“We are hugely grateful to the National Lottery Awards for All programme, and to everyone in the community who continues to enjoy and support this special place.”
The upgrades are expected to take place over the next two years, accompanied by community days where local residents can take part in activities and celebrations at the site.
