airBaltic Launches Direct Flights Between Gran Canaria and Molde

airBaltic has opened a new direct route operating weekly between Gran Canaria and Molde, strengthening connections across the Baltics, Scandinavia, and Central Europe. The flights will run every Wednesday until early April 2026.

During the holiday season, the airline will also serve seven direct routes from Gran Canaria to European destinations including Billund (Denmark), Riga (Latvia), Tallinn (Estonia), and Vilnius (Lithuania), further expanding travel options for passengers across the continent.

“The new route between the two cities is expected to attract more tourists from Norway to Gran Canaria during the colder months, when travellers in Northern Europe are seeking sunny and warm destinations, while also providing residents of Gran Canaria the opportunity to explore Norway’s stunning natural landscapes. We are grateful to our partners in Gran Canaria for supporting this expansion, which improves the island’s connectivity to a variety of destinations in Europe,” said Thoms Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer at airBaltic.

The route will use Airbus A220-300 aircraft, offering passengers broader seats, larger windows, and extra cabin space. The approximate flight duration between the two regions is 5 hours and 40 minutes.
