Remembrance Day Craft Activities at Haringey Libraries
Young children and their families are invited to participate in Remembrance Day activities on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, at various libraries across Haringey. Poppy craft sessions will be held at:
- Hornsey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
- Marcus Garvey Library (3:30pm–4:30pm)
- Muswell Hill Library (3:45pm–4:45pm)
This activity suits children aged three and older. After crafting, participants can display their poppies on the Remembrance Day boards at Hornsey Library or Marcus Garvey Library.
On Monday, 17 November 2025, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, families can create a poppy field at Stroud Green and Harringay Library. This session is for children aged five and above.
Other Arts and Crafts Events in November
Kevin F Sutherland, an artist known for his work with Beano and Marvel, will offer two Comic Art Masterclasses at Wood Green Library on Saturday, 22 November 2025:
- 10:30am–12:30pm
- 2pm–4pm
Participants will create a comic and caricature during these two-hour workshops.
Chess Sessions for All Skill Levels
Chess enthusiasts can enjoy playing at the following locations:
- Hornsey Library: Thursdays, 3:30pm–6pm (bring your own board; beginners and experts welcome)
- Marcus Garvey Library: Tuesdays, 3:30pm–5pm (boards available on request; under 16s must be accompanied by an adult)
- St Ann’s Library: Mondays, 4pm–5pm, term time only (max 12 children per session, ages 7–16, first-come, first-served)
